SSD Alliance announces ITL and Compliance Program Version 1.4

(February 16, 2009) The SSD Alliance today announced worldwide testing capability for SSD related products Specification at Independent Test Labs (ITL) located in North America and Asia Pacific. ITL will offer compliance testing and certification to manufacturers developing SSD products.

Upon the results from February member meeting, the SSDA Member representatives voted and selected Allion Test Labs, Inc. as the first approved ITL of SSD Alliance. The recent release of Compliance Test Plan Version 1.4 will increases the global testing and certification capacity for SSD products and brings testing efficiency to the SSD development cycle. The labs benefit manufacturers and consumers by meeting market demand for SSD products that are both certified by SSD Alliance and are proven to operate at certain quality level and interoperate with the existing ecosystem of certified products.
